Research Assistant

Responsibilities:

  • High quality research;
  • Plan and perform research tasks of limited complexity requiring initiative and judgment in applying basic knowledge and understanding of economics;
  • Produce clear, concise, actionable literature summaries, requiring preliminary judgments after conceptual approach is outlined by the supervisor;
  • Extract data and structured information from published literature, relevant websites and other sources and presenting this information in highly impactful ways, including using innovative data visualization techniques;
  • Assist in designing and evaluating phases of research projects, seeking guidance where necessary;

Requirements/qualifications for position:

  • Graduate degree in economics or relevant field, Master’s degree is preferable;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English language;
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills;
  • Proactive and able to work well in team environment;
  • Experience in writing reports, working papers or other documents is desirable;
  • Ability to work under deadlines with general guidance;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and SPSS and ability to quickly learn and master new computer programs;
  • Experience in similar positions is preferable.
