{"id":7795,"date":"2022-04-08T16:12:36","date_gmt":"2022-04-08T14:12:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ceves.org.rs\/?p=7795"},"modified":"2025-11-11T15:48:04","modified_gmt":"2025-11-11T14:48:04","slug":"sr-odrzana-fokus-grupa-u-somboru","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ceves.org.rs\/en\/sr-odrzana-fokus-grupa-u-somboru\/","title":{"rendered":"Focus group held in Sombor as part of support for the development of the City's Medium-Term Development Plan"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"margin-bottom: 11.25pt; text-align: justify; line-height: 18.75pt;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: Raleway; color: black;\">The Centre for Advanced Economic Studies CEVES, together with the Timok Youth Centre, within the Economic Pillar of the Platform \u201e<a href=\"https:\/\/sdgs4all.rs\/\">Sustainable Development for All<\/a>\u201c, held <strong>a focus group with representatives from Sombor<\/strong> at the premises of the Sombor Educational Centre in Sombor, on April 7, 2022. <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: Raleway;\">Among those gathered were representatives of the city administration, companies, the Chamber of Commerce, and public utility companies. The event was organized with the aim of gathering information and participants' views on topics that will be significant for the preparation of the City's Medium-Term Development Plan.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 11.25pt; text-align: justify; line-height: 18.75pt;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: Raleway;\">During the event, participants shared their opinions based on their experience and field of work on the following topics: infrastructure quality, labour force supply, the state of agriculture and tourism and the main obstacles to their further development, the availability of financial instruments for businesses, as well as the impact of current events in Ukraine and the COVID crisis on business operations. Among the main conclusions of the focus group, the need to improve infrastructure quality was highlighted, as well as the need for greater investment to stimulate and further improve the domestic economy.
