Industrial Policies

Industrial policies have significant importance for Serbia’s economy because of its comparative and competitive advantages and focusing on branches that are able to penetrate the foreign market the fastest and most effectively. The purpose is to stimulate the specific economic activities and to carry out structural changes where bottlenecks exist and where the market hasn’t managed to deal with this problem by itself. The strategies of industrial development, new solutions, defining the way how the Government could help branches that have export potential and analyzing the performance of different branches of Serbian industry are in the main focus of this issue. Very important should also be the selection of appropriate instruments of industrial policies to help perspective industries and the selection of reliable regulatory framework too. Another focus should be on creation of institutional and financial support to perspective industries and exporters in the first place, by the Government.
