Impact assessment of the introduction of the circular economy

Publications related to the impact assessment of introducing the circular economy in three sectors – plastic packaging, electrical and electronic equipment, and HORECA – were prepared within the framework of GIZ's project “Waste Management in the Context of Climate Change (DKTI)“ during 2018 and 2019. The publications represent an early effort to estimate the quantities of waste generated in the mentioned sectors, and through several scenarios, explore the potential effects of introducing the circular economy on the economy, society, and the environment in the period between 2020 and 2030.

activities and challenges faced by SMEs, such as inadequate business environment, access to finance, labor availability, as well as green and digital transformation, are analyzed. These insights provide a clear picture of the opportunities and obstacles affecting the growth and development of the SME sector.
