This research aimed to establish independent monitoring of the quality of work of the Serbian healthcare system, which is, among other things, part of an even broader CEVES program concerning the strengthening of the monitoring system for the quality of work and organization of public administration. The project created a direct link with the Sustainable Development Goals, specifically Goal 3 – Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages. This report prioritizes a set of indicators and compares the observed data in Serbia with selected countries, so that a sufficiently reliable assessment, yet simple enough to communicate to the public, can be obtained about the health status of Serbian citizens. The research included the preparation of a preliminary set of indicators (quality of outcomes, results, processes, and efficiency – the protection system in Serbia), as well as the assessment of the weight of each of them.
