Year: 2006
In 2006, CEVES worked on a study that represents a contribution to the implementation of the Poverty Reduction Strategy, for the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia, which examines the criteria defined for the underdevelopment of municipalities. The main goal of the analysis is to develop a methodology, identify current and future economic conditions, and welfare conditions in municipalities. Despite the lack of data, CEVES identified several indicators that would enable the measurement of municipal underdevelopment and the ranking of municipalities accordingly. Furthermore, the CEVES study provided recommendations for future data collection practices in order to achieve more reliable and significant statistical data.
