The project's objective was to assess company satisfaction with the methodology and application of the cooperative model in vocational education, as one of the steps towards dual education.
Modernization of vocational education is one of the key demands of the labor market. Recognizing the economy's need for young professionals who are ready to advance and be part of real business from day one, the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development, in cooperation with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), through the „Project for the Reform of Secondary Vocational Education in Serbia,“ has, since the 2014/2015 school year, begun the implementation of the cooperative education model in three-year educational profiles: welder-fitter, electrician, and industrial mechanic.
The research involved conducting an online survey, as well as semi-structured interviews with company owners, management, and mentors who directly worked with students. The analysis included companies involved in the cooperative education model.
