The project aimed to develop an independent system for monitoring the quality of work of the healthcare system in Serbia. This project is part of a broader CEVES program, which aims to strengthen the quality monitoring processes of public sector service providers. The project is directly linked to the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 3 – Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages. The result of this project is a report that provides an overview of a set of indicators and compares the observed results in Serbia with the situation in selected countries, in order to obtain a sufficiently reliable assessment, while at the same time being sufficiently understandable for clearer communication with the public about the health status of Serbian citizens. The research proposed a group of indicators (quality of outcomes, results, processes, and efficiency of the protection system in Serbia) as well as an assessment of the importance of each of them.
