Within this area, CEVES supports strengthening the competitiveness of the domestic economy, with a special focus on small and medium-sized enterprises. The program includes improving SME policies (including the SME Compass and strengthening competitiveness), developing innovation, promoting exports, and improving access to financing. CEVES also analyzes and monitors state aid, industrial policy, and investment promotion mechanisms, as well as key labor market challenges — labor shortages, skills development, and adaptation to the needs of modern industries.
CEVES's special contribution to the development of the SME sector is the landmark MSP100 Expo project, the first comprehensive analysis and promotion of the most dynamic small and medium-sized enterprises in Serbia, which set the standard for understanding their potential and challenges.
